Patti shares an incredible story of how her son, Mitchell overcame Autism.  Her personal story illustrates the strength she gained through her belief in God and the responsibility she now has to encourage others to believe in miracles. “Work like it depends on you and pray because you know it depends on God.”

Everyone has a story and the degree of challenge is relative to the person and circumstance.  Patti entered the Mrs. United States pageant system in hopes of becoming Mrs. South Carolina where she was born and raised. She achieved that goal in February, 2006.  Her primary mission now, as Mrs. South Carolina International 2008, is to continue to spread Autism awareness and the importance of early intervention. 

No stranger to the stage, it was a perfect catalyst for her to meet this goal and personally challenge herself both mentally and physically. “Nothing can make a person grow more than to step outside their comfort zone." By putting oneself into the hands of judges, it lends a greater accountability to accomplish the goal.
