As most of you know, my platform as Mrs. South Carolina United States 2006 was to raise awareness for the early intervention and diagnosis of Autism.

Our son, Mitchell continues to find his way out of the maze of Autism through the help, love, and support of speech, occupational, and play therapists. Along with God's direct intervention, a supportive and loving family, Mitchell emerged like a butterfly from a chrysalis!

My mission as Mrs. South Carolina International 2008 is to continue to raise the awareness and understanding for those dealing with life on the Autism Spectrum. As I raise my voice and share hope, my prayer is for affected families to find company "outside the box." There is no shame in being diffferent and God does not make mistakes.

A special thanks to my community of York County...I love you all! Thanks also to Berry's Furniture, WRHI, CN2, and The Herald, whose continued support with this cause has reached so many.
